Joginder Sharma, India’s 2007 T20 World Cup hero, formally introduced his retirement from cricket. Sharma bowled the final over in the final of the World Cup against Pakistan whilst Misbah-ul-Haq became batting. Haq miscued a reverse scoop and the ball landed in Sreesanth’s fingers and, much like that, Joginder Sharma etched his name within the history books for eternity.
“Today, with great gratitude & humility, I announce my retirement from all types of international & home cricket. My adventure from 2002-2017 has been the maximum exquisite years of my existence for it become an honour representing India at the highest level of recreation,” wrote Sharma in a letter shared through him.He then thanked the groups and institutions he was tied with and stated that it become an absolute privilege to work with them. “I am grateful for the possibilities given to me with the aid of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Haryana Cricket Association, Chennai Super Kings and Haryana Government. To all my teammates, coaches, mentors and assist team of workers: It has been an absolute privilege to have played with you all, and, I thank you considering helping flip my dream into reality.”

“To all cricket fans that have supported me through the ups & downs of worldwide sport, I will all the time cherish the moments I spent with you all and your assist has constantly been a supply of motivation for me. Lastly, I would really like to thank my circle of relatives & buddies for their unconditional love and assist all through my career.
They were my backbones and with out them, I could no longer had been capable of gain what I even have nowadays. I am excited to announce that I might be exploring new opportunities in the world of cricket & the enterprise side of it, in which I may even continue to participate in the game that I love and task myself in new and extraordinary surroundings. He concluded via wishing his teammates all of the best for the future. “I desire all my former teammates and the Indian cricket crew all the first-class for his or her destiny endeavours. Thank you for all of the memories.”
